The HayNet Trainer Education Fund was created to help USETA members continue learning, growing, and strengthening their careers. Whether you're an established professional or just building your program, continuing education is one of the best investments you can make.

Thanks to the generous support of HayNet, USETA will award $2,500 annually to members pursuing educational opportunities that will help them become stronger trainers, business owners, and industry professionals.

Award Opportunities

$2,000 Education Grant

Members may be nominated for the annual Education Grant. A selection committee appointed by the USETA Board of Directors will review nominations and choose one recipient. Nominations must be done by September 1, 2026 with winner being announced September 30, 2026. This grant must be utilized by September 30, 2027.

$500 Member Drawing

Everyone who is nominated for the Education Grant will automatically be entered into a random drawing for an additional $500 education award, giving more members the opportunity to continue their professional development.

Eligible Educational Opportunities

Funds must be used for educational experiences that help further your knowledge and career within the equestrian industry. Examples include:

Riding or training clinics
Educational seminars or workshops
Business or management courses related to running a training operation
Shadowing an established trainer at a horse show or training facility
Travel and related expenses associated with an approved educational opportunity

Please note: Funds are intended to support educational experiences—not simply attendance at horse shows. If attending a horse show as part of a structured learning opportunity (such as shadowing a professional trainer), eligible expenses related to that educational experience may be covered.

These submissions will not be shared publicly and will be shared with the board members only.

Nomination details, eligibility requirements, and application timelines will be announced annually by USETA.
